In Practicum Simulators S.A. (Hereinafter Practicum Simulators) we know how important it is for you our use of your personal information and how we share it. By providing personnel and/or academic information through the web Practicum Script, or receive it from the links to our web from portals of scientific societies, associated universities or authorized third parties, you agree and consent to the practices described herein. Access and use of this site and any of the services or products to be incorporated in it implies full compliance of the user with the conditions set out in this document.
Accuracy and veracity of the data provided
The user guarantees and is responsible for the veracity, validity, accuracy and authenticity of the personal data provided to Practicum Simulators and is responsible for communicating any changes in them through the Script Connect page within the portal of Practicum Script. Users of postgraduate training courses of Practicum Script also accept that the personal data provided at the time of registration or records to access trials of the courses can be used for sending information by mail or any other means, even after the completion of the course, of developments, academic activities, news, courses, programs, services and products related to Practicum Script or the Practicum Foundation projects.
Users participating in the project “Pilot Study of the Application of the Practicum Script Clinical Reasoning Simulator to Medical Students” will not be contacted after completion of this study or at any point regarding developments, academic activities, news, courses, programs, projects, services and products related to Practicum Script or the Practicum Foundation, unless the authorities of the medical school to which they belong transmits to the Practicum Foundation in writing their consent for this type of communications. Notwithstanding the foregoing, participants in this study accept that the personal data provided at the time of registration can be used for sending information by email or any other means regarding improvements of the didactic configuration or the functionalities of Practicum Script as well as available updates the version of the app, during the development of the study.
Personal data
The personal information we collect from the participants in the Practicum Script program helps us personalize and continually improve scholarly communication. All personal data will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation).
Practicum Simulators uses this data to improve the educational experience of the participants, to offer you enrollment to some of its courses or of those developed in partnership with scientific societies and/or universities from different parts of the world, or it also uses these data to highlight in a custom mode the figure of a private business sponsor or -Government agency, public agency- that is funding a scholarship for academic excellence to a selected physician.
Generally we use the information to manage registrations of new participants or of those who wish to renew their permanence in successive courses, and for academic tutoring. Script Connect 24 hours support services, measurements of the uses and preferences and generate metrics of statistical and behavioral value, very useful to improve navigation, also performance indicators of the users as well as participation in the Forum. We also use this information to improve the usability and functionality of the platform and to prevent or detect abuses on our website, and to permit third parties to carry out technical support or other functions on our behalf.
For the users participating in the project “Pilot Study of the Application of the Practicum Script Clinical Reasoning Simulator to Medical Students” the personal information will be used only for the following purposes:
- Technical support, including creation of the account and registration in the website, by Script Connect.
- Personalized tutoring regarding methodological issues
- Feedback messages by a medical tutor regarding hypotheses formulation in the clinical cases and participations in the debate forum.

We receive and store any information you enter on our website or give us in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information, but if you do you can not benefit from many of the educational functions we offer. Personal and professional information you submit is essential to customize our academic relationship within the Practicum Script program and to conduct educational research that will help us improve the didactic configuration of the simulator and the computer functionality. There is no intention to use your personal data for any commercial purpose or inducement to consumption of products or services outside Practicum Script or Practicum Foundation. You provide most of the information when completing your professional profile, when performing all stages of resolution of the course, in your messages to the tutor, participation in forums, reviewing cases, including cases in your Portfolio, phone calls or e-mails sent to Script Connect, when hanging a comment in the forum or answering a survey valuation. By performing the above actions, you are giving us information such as your name, institution where you work and phone number, people you sent contact recommendations with Practicum Script as well as information of the courses acquired or sponsored.

Your identity and personal references on your performance in the course are treated as confidential and are never disclosed or provided to third parties outside the faculty and technician team of Practicum Script team, unless you are a participant benefited from a scholarship for academic excellence in which case you agree us to send to your patron or sponsor information about whether you being an active or not active participant in the terms required to pass the course. The information related to the user's academic performance in the course Practicum Script will be transferred only to scientific entities responsible for granting credits of recertification and/or continued medical training or university degree.

We employ other companies and individuals to perform certain functions on our behalf. Some of the functions they perform include: multilingual call center, email services of e-mail marketing, tutoring by experts from different countries, technical support of cloud servers, credit card payment processing or through PayPal or different banks located in the payment gateway, and to offer personalized help service to the participant colleague. They will have access to the personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. Practicum Simulators has adopted all the technical and organizational measures needed to ensure the security of the personal data and to prevent ateration, loss, treatment or unauthorized access.
