With this legal notice, Practicum Simulators S.A. residing at Street Global House, 303 Ballards Lane, London N12 8NP, United Kingdom, hereby informs users of Practicum Script Concordance Test (hereinafter Practicum Script) digital platform, located in www.script.md and other URL such as www.practicum-script.edu.es and www.script.edu.es, its Privacy Policy in order to safeguard the protection of personal data of participants. In Practicum Simulators S.A. (Hereinafter Practicum Simulators) we know how important it is for you our use of your personal information and how we share it. By providing personnel and/or academic information through the web Practicum Script, or receive it from the links to our web from portals of scientific societies, associated universities or authorized third parties, you agree and consent to the practices described herein. Access and use of this site and any of the services or products to be incorporated in it implies full compliance of the user with the conditions set out in this document. 

Accuracy and veracity of the data provided

The user guarantees and is responsible for the veracity, validity, accuracy and authenticity of the personal data provided to Practicum Simulators and is responsible for communicating any changes in them through the Script Connect page within the portal of Practicum Script. The user is solely responsible for any damage or injury, direct or indirect, caused to Practicum Simulators or to any party by filling in forms with false, inaccurate, incomplete or outdated data or with third party data. 
Practicum Simulators is not responsible for the veracity of the information provided by the users and reserves the right to deny service to any user who has provided false data.

The user accepts that the personal data provided at the time of registration or records to access trials of the course, or any other data provided to Practicum Simulators are used in order to facilitate implementation of the e-learning course Practicum Script, for the correct identification of users requesting support or personalized tutoring related to the website, the pedagogic model or the clinical cases and also for statistical studies and educational research as well as for managing administrative tasks. Users of postgraduate training courses of Practicum Script also accept that the personal data provided at the time of registration or records to access trials of the courses can be used for sending information by mail or any other means, even after the completion of the course, of developments, academic activities, news, courses, programs, services and products related to Practicum Script or the Practicum Foundation projects.

Users participating in the project “Pilot Study of the Application of the Practicum Script Clinical Reasoning Simulator to Medical Students” will not be contacted after completion of this study or at any point regarding developments, academic activities, news, courses, programs, projects, services and products related to Practicum Script or the Practicum Foundation, unless the authorities of the medical school to which they belong transmits to the Practicum Foundation in writing their consent for this type of communications. Notwithstanding the foregoing, participants in this study accept that the personal data provided at the time of registration can be used for sending information by email or any other means regarding improvements of the didactic configuration or the functionalities of Practicum Script as well as available updates the version of the app, during the development of the study.

Personal data

The personal information we collect from the participants in the Practicum Script program helps us personalize and continually improve scholarly communication. All personal data will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation).
Practicum Simulators uses this data to improve the educational experience of the participants, to offer you enrollment to some of its courses or of those developed in partnership with scientific societies and/or universities from different parts of the world, or it also uses these data to highlight in a custom mode the figure of a private business sponsor or -Government agency, public agency- that is funding a scholarship for academic excellence to a selected physician. 
Generally we use the information to manage registrations of new participants or of those who wish to renew their permanence in successive courses, and for academic tutoring. Script Connect 24 hours support services, measurements of the uses and preferences and generate metrics of statistical and behavioral value, very useful to improve navigation, also performance indicators of the users as well as participation in the Forum. We also use this information to improve the usability and functionality of the platform and to prevent or detect abuses on our website, and to permit third parties to carry out technical support or other functions on our behalf.

For the users participating in the project “Pilot Study of the Application of the Practicum Script Clinical Reasoning Simulator to Medical Students” the personal information will be used only for the following purposes:

- Technical support, including creation of the account and registration in the website, by Script Connect.

- Personalized tutoring regarding methodological issues

- Feedback messages by a medical tutor regarding hypotheses formulation in the clinical cases and participations in the debate forum.

- Automatic alerts from the system, exclusively related with their participation in the formative activity.

The participant’s identity of the users taking part in this study will never be disclosed to the research team.

Personal data provided by medical students participating in the pilot will not be used at any point to encourage them to enroll in other courses run by Practicum Simulators, Practicum Foundation or of those developed in partnership with scientific societies and/or universities from different parts of the world.

Information you provide us
We receive and store any information you enter on our website or give us in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information, but if you do you can not benefit from many of the educational functions we offer. Personal and professional information you submit is essential to customize our academic relationship within the Practicum Script program and to conduct educational research that will help us improve the didactic configuration of the simulator and the computer functionality. There is no intention to use your personal data for any commercial purpose or inducement to consumption of products or services outside Practicum Script or Practicum Foundation. You provide most of the information when completing your professional profile, when performing all stages of resolution of the course, in your messages to the tutor, participation in forums, reviewing cases, including cases in your Portfolio, phone calls or e-mails sent to Script Connect, when hanging a comment in the forum or answering a survey valuation. By performing the above actions, you are giving us information such as your name, institution where you work and phone number, people you sent contact recommendations with Practicum Script as well as information of the courses acquired or sponsored.

Automatic information
Every time you interact with the Practicum Script program, we receive and store certain kind of information; for example, as many other websites do, we use cookies to collect certain information when your Web browser accesses the web Practicum Script or other landing pages or other links to the same program. Here are some examples of the information we collect and analyze: The Internet IP address you use to connect to the Internet with your computer, user name, information about your computer and your Internet connection and the type and version of your browser; your time zone settings, the types and versions of the connection of your browser, operating system and platform you use, and history of performance in the course -sometimes we gather similar information from several participants to detect cognitive knots that we can solve improving our application and features-, the visit history web (URL) from, through and to our website (including date and time), cookie number, type of courses you have sought, free trial cases, specialty chosen, we can also use browser data such as cookies, Flash cookies (also called Local Shared Objects), or similar data on certain parts of our website to prevent fraud, among other purposes. Please, to receive all Practicum Script services, avoid blocking cookies.

Information collected from other sources

We may receive personal information from other institutions authorized by you, and we may add it to our information, to occasionally send you an invitation to meet our medical education programs, always related to your specialty. Users participating in the project “Pilot Study of the Application of the Practicum Script Clinical Reasoning Simulator to Medical Students” are not subject to this statement.

We use cookies to allow our software to recognize your device and the functions described as an example in this document.

Handling of personal information
Your identity and personal references on your performance in the course are treated as confidential and are never disclosed or provided to third parties outside the faculty and technician team of Practicum Script team, unless you are a participant benefited from a scholarship for academic excellence in which case you agree us to send to your patron or sponsor information about whether you being an active or not active participant in the terms required to pass the course. The information related to the user's academic performance in the course Practicum Script will be transferred only to scientific entities responsible for granting credits of recertification and/or continued medical training or university degree.

Companies that are not under our control
Sometimes we use third-party tools such as Google Analytics, Servers in the Amazon cloud or navigation software GetSmartLook that are not under our control.

Third party services providers:
We employ other companies and individuals to perform certain functions on our behalf. Some of the functions they perform include: multilingual call center, email services of e-mail marketing, tutoring by experts from different countries, technical support of cloud servers, credit card payment processing or through PayPal or different banks located in the payment gateway, and to offer personalized help service to the participant colleague. They will have access to the personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. In addition, they should treat personal information in accordance with this Notice of Privacy Policy and the relevant legislation on data protection.

Security
Practicum Simulators has adopted all the technical and organizational measures needed to ensure the security of the personal data and to prevent ateration, loss, treatment or unauthorized access. The security level adopted is in line with the nature of the personal data supplied. - We work to protect the security of your personal information during the transmission using the SSL encryption protocol, which encrypts information you input. - We have physical, electronic and procedural security systems, in relation to the collection, storage and disclosure of the customer's personal data. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before providing confidential information. - It is important to protect yourself against unauthorized third-party acces to your password and to your computer. Make sure you close your session when you finish every time you are using a shared computer.

Information about third parties and links to other web pages
Our website may include third party promotion and access to other websites. These third parties are universities, medical schools, schools of medical education and private companies or public agencies to promote training that sponsor a course. Participants who obtain sponsorship or a scholarship for academic excellence will see custom ads from the sponsor or based on their interests.

Exercise of rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition
The user can exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition at any time by sending an email to: [email protected] or by telephoning the number that corresponds to your region indicated in the Script Connect section of the web www.script.md. As we have indicated above, you always have the choice to not provide information, except everything required in the registration form to the course Practicum Script. You expressly agree that if you decide to remove the use of cookies the interface with the online course may undergo significant functional changes for the achieving of educational purposes and accreditation or you will lose contact with the services of support, tutoring or other important functions. If this happens due to the deletion of cookies you will refrain from any claim to Practicum Simulators.

Practicum Script is intended for medical specialists and residents, such as family physicians, internists, pediatricians, gastroenterologists and cardiologists. Any other non-medical professional who uses Practicum Script must be supervised by medical personnel.
